I grew up loving horses!!  I started riding when I was about 4 yrs. old at my Aunt & Uncles house, it just got worse from there!!  I started drawing horses with the encouragement of family, soon I was painting them, too.......  As I got older, I wanted to own horses, and I did, more than I would have ever dreamed of..... they were a huge part of my life.  I trained my first horse when I was about 15-16 yrs. old..... I thought life could never get better when someone actually offered to PAY me to ride their horses and care for them... WOW, I thought, I can spend my time with horses and get PAID for it!!??!!  Little did they know I would have happily done it for free!!!  EVERYDAY!! haha, so that's where my career began........

With a long history of working with horses, I have a very good knowledge of muscle definition, color, overall conformation of horses.  I was a veterinary technician for around 10 years, during this time I also owned many horses of my own, as well as training riding horses, and conditioning halter horses for others.  I later received my trainers license and raced Thoroughbreds at the major racetracks in Texas.  I raced in all areas, from claiming races to stakes races, winning some very tough races.  During all this, I also continued painting, selling artwork on consignment at the race track gift shops

On the following pages, you find several examples of my work.  Ranging from canvas, skulls, wood carving, to saws.  I enjoy the variety of different formats to paint on.

I hope you enjoy looking at the artwork that I have provided.  If you are interested in a personalized painting, (from your photo) or if you would like to see what I have available, please feel free to contact me.

With my current job position, I have very limited time for my Art, so I spend what little time I do have on Special Order items... One of these days I'll have time to paint on a regular basis again..... hopefully before I'm too OLD! haha..........

Can you tell I was nervous????

Though I've had many changes to deal with through out my life, losing my Mother way before her time, and then my father.....there were many struggles, but there has also been many fun times.  Career changes, good & bad, ups & downs, life.......  I enjoy life, work, family and friends, and just can't seem to get enough sunshine, it brightens up the day!!
And yes, my one moment of fame in Austin at the KVET Sports Bikini Contest..... still can't believe I did that!!!  It was fun, but boy was I scared!!!  Making it to the finals against girls 15 + years younger than I....... Shock, that was an understatement.....  but, I survived, had another tale to tell, and yes, once it was all over and the shock wore off, I guess I did have  a LITTLE bit of fun..... (Especially beating out the young girls....) And the trip I won was pretty fun, too!  Second place was better than nothing!!  haha, still have to laugh about that..... what was I thinking????
But life goes on, the sun still shines (thank goodness) and I'm still smiling!!!!

Hope you enjoyed the artwork, I sure enjoy creating it!
